Many people don’t know what a lapel is, and even if they see it, they don’t know it’s a lapel. The common collar refers to the auxiliary materials used in packaging.
There are actually two explanations for the collar:

1. Refers to a piece of cloth underneath the inner side of the collar of a top. The purpose of this cloth is to decorate and cover up unsightly areas such as seams and edges under the collar. Attaching a piece of cloth as decoration is both beautiful and can sew the clothing’s logo, size, and washing label onto this cloth. This not only facilitates observation during sales and enhances brand advantage, but also avoids nailing through the back of the garment, making it look good from the back.
2. A packaging material (or accessory) used for shirts or clothes that require packaging, which lifts the collar to give a three-dimensional appearance. This type of collar accessory includes: pallets, collar strips, butterfly pieces, and other materials, usually made of plastic or hard paper.
